Tuesday, October 9, 2007The past month was very hectic for me. Hardly had enough time to create a post or there were times I started on something but was not able to finish it. So what happened to me in the past weeks? A lot of trials came my way. Hubby got sick. Vito's nanny did not return as promised. My workload doubles exponentially. And just last night, Vito kept vomitting but the cause is still unclear to me.
I am a woman who plays varied roles: a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, an employee and an employer. I never realized, until now, how hard it is to juggle these characters that at times, I lose sense of who I really am. It has been really tough.

Part 1
Hubby had a pulmonary ailment. A smoker half his life (he just stopped a year ago), this did not come as a surprise for me. But thinking about the future complications almost pushed me to surrender.
Hubby was diagnosed with pulmonary hyperaeration with bulla vs emphysematous substances. The medical jargon is not for me to interpret but the word emphysematous buzzed in my head. After consulting with a pulmonologist, I was relieved to hear that there is nothing to worry about since he has already withdrawn from smoking. A few antibiotics and medicines were prescribed and the doctor advised him to avoid pollution and secondhand smoke.
A week before all that happened, hubby and I hiked to Mudsprings, a 3.7 km-hike from where we live. I enjoyed it a lot.
